React Job: Senior Full Stack Engineer

WorkPal is a cloud-based field service management software allowing both online and offline working, designed to bring field service operations into the digital era.

We have over 10 year’s experience under our belt and having achieved multiple industry awards, together with our recently announced investment of £1million over a 2 year period, we are excited to grow our business further and are looking for remote Full Stack Software Engineers (PHP/MySQL/JS) to help us on our journey.

We are a local company, everything has been designed and developed in-house by our team in Belfast. We love what we do at WorkPal, behind our software solutions is a close-knit team of dedicated engineers and designers, delivering results for our clients. When we’re not working, you’ll find most of us gathered, with a little bit of friendly rivalry, around the office PS5.

THE ROLE - FULLY REMOTE

To work exclusively on the WorkPal Cloud-based Application and it's RESTful API, along with the rest of the development team, to create new features, troubleshoot issues, and continually improve the product.

Responsibilities:

· Writing efficient SQL queries and stored procedures.

· Diagnosing bugs and fixing them.

· Completing larger scale feature tickets.

· Collaborating on tickets with other developers.

· Diagnosing performance issues in the application and completing fixes.

· Understanding of SQL performance issues such as indexes, poorly-structured queries.

· Reviewing the tickets of fellow developers, comprehensive testing, adding of clear tasks of any issues found.

· Writing automated PAT and Postman tests.

· Mentoring Junior developers.

· Take the current 'Develop' Branch of code and create a release, run automated tests etc. then deploy to the production server and do the switch over.

· Spec out more complex tickets for the lower-level developers

· Monitor server logs and understand issues. Take action if necessary to rectify outages, such as restarting the server or contacting the hosting provider.

· Oversee the automated testing and recommend tests that are missing or revisions to existing tests

Salary: €45,000.00-€60,000.00 per year
